Well my favourite sport is cricket. So obviously my answer will be in favour of cricket and here are a few aspects which make cricket better:
Lack of international matches: football does not have many international matches apart from world cups and even in world cups the chances of two rival teams locking horns against each other are extremely low. So basically to watch argentina vs england you might have to wait for the next 12–15 years(if you are lucky).
Lack of making a team great from scratch: In football clubs culture is dominant so what happens is if a player from a club starts performing he will be moved from the club to big clubs like real madrid etc. And thus leaving his club in the same scenario as before and hence small clubs no matter how hard they work on players will remain the same.suarez(liverpool to barca),gerath bale(hotspur to real) etc. Are a few examples.
No use of DRS: do i even need to say anymore. For madrid fans it’s UEFALONA and for barca fans “ronaldo is offside” but the truth is the refrees are humans and to err is human but the football people are just too arrogant to use DRS even after the fact that wrong decisions has already changed the outcome of quite a few games(real vs bayern 2 leg) then a few fans say it is a fast game and cant use DRS but then hockey is also a fast game and it uses referrals .
Not many nail biting games: well as we all that limited overs cricket games are more often than not nail biters(Who can forget ind vs ban t20) you can think of numerous nail biters just from last year in cricket. But in football this is not the case if the oppositon has scored twice well then it is almost over. No matter how much you argue about this but often the team with 2 goals is gonna end up winning.
Cricket has a lot more to offer: cricket thanks to T20 cricket has now a lot more to offer if any football fan thinks cricket is not exciting please watch brendon mccullum’s 2015 world cup innings it will change your opinion for sure , AB devilliers batting ,ms dhoni’s helicopter, sachin’s sharjah knocks, maxwell’s hitting all these will change your mind
One last thing a few people over here are saying cricketers are not fit so to just to remind them dhoni at the age of 35 runs 20 yards distance faster than usain bolt and that too with pads on.
